Downslope is a boulder trough and then a "levee". Bouldery slopes continue downslope to break with limestone lithology.;Colluvial, sandstone boulderfield with NW aspect. Boulders average 1-4 m long. Vascular plants extremely scarce (a couple of birch saplings). Dark, cool crevices suppert different species.
Representativeness
Small patch open boulderfield. Plot in middle of steepest slope. Similar to plots sampled at Greenland Gap and Judy Gap.
